In a surprising move, the Georgia State Board of Education voted to change the name of Georgia’s unchanged educational standards at its February 19th meeting.  State Board ChairHelen Rice announced the new name, saying, “the old brand, ‘Common Core,’ has been hi-jacked,” and that she “no longer feel[s] like it represents what we are working toward.”        (Read More)
